May 12, 2012 – Coil Basketry with Betty Atwood


The art of coil basketry has its roots in the past.
Cultures all the way from Southwestern Indians to tribes in Africa and
other parts of the world have practiced this craft for centuries.
Natural materials such as grass, and palm and pine needles have been
used to created baskets and mats. In this workshop we will be using
materials that are easily obtainable for us.  Workshop fee - $20.00

To Bring for Workshop:

Large Blunt Needle
Scissors
Various worsted or rug yarns
