Fiber Talk: The talk will focus on presenting unique and difficult to find materials for weavers, knitters, surface design artists, etc. These include bamboo, silk or stainless steel, ramie, naturally gold, green or brown silks, hand reeled Akagi
silks, etc. Slides, a show and tell, and possible a video will be included.

Afternoon workshop: Participants will experiment weaving with unique fibers. Looms will need to be pre-warped with the warp instructions sent out beforehand. The weft yarns will have to be purchased. There will be a demonstration of warping an extremely fine yarn and weaving with it. Maximum number of students is 15. Intermediate Level - Cost $35.00 plus $25.00 materials fee.

List of supplies for participants to bring:

Floor or table loom
notebook, pen, measure, masking tape, scissors
many stick or boat shuttles and bobbins
1 electric bobbin winder (for whole group)
1 swift (for whole group)
1 warping board (for whole group)
1 raddle with 1/2 inch intervals (for whole group)
