Making Selvedges Better

Don’t go over the edge worrying about your selvedges.  Learn in this class the many factors which help create better selvedges on hand wovens.  Learn how the textile industry, professional weavers and experienced weavers deal with selvedges.  The instructor will bring a warped loom to demonstrate different selvedge applications.

Susan Rockwell has taught classes on weaving to many students over the past thirty five years to New England weaving guilds, NEWS, Fletcher Farm School for the Arts and Crafts,  the White River Craft Center, and privately.  Her workshops and presentations range from one hour to 5 days.  She is a past President of the New England Weavers Seminar, is a member of several N.E. guilds and has been a juror and received awards for her weaving.  She considers weaving part of her DNA.
