EXPLORING REP WEAVES AND RELATED WARP

Description: Gain an understanding of the techniques
and applications of rep weave through lecture, discussion
and weaving samples. Drafting, block designs for 4 to 8
harness and rep pick up techniques will be discussed as well
as color interactions. Each student will be working on their
own loom first then experiment with others.
Objectives: Every loom will be set up in advance with
a different draft (received a month earlier). Each
participant will have a chance to work at all the looms and
will go home with a complete portfolio, full of samples,
drafts and many genuine rep weave projects.
· Dressed floor or table loom
· Extra warp and weft threads
· 2 stick shuttles same width as the sample
· Ball winder
· A camera, for the many studies and finished pieces on
· Material fee $15 for a complete set of drafts
Class size: up to 16
Fee for the workshop is $125. A deposit of $50 will reserve
